The garden shed on the vegetable meadow on Valdonedo was built in the summer of 2024. Johannes reused old materials that were left over from the renovation of the houses. The roof of the garden shed was therefore built from an old part of the roof of the L-building (which later became the appartment house). You will soon be able to read about the history of the L-building on the Quinta Blog. The crane transported the roof to the vegetable meadow where it was mounted on old thick beams. It was a great experience to see the roof "fly" through the air. The beams stand on large stones that were also left over from the renovation. The wood of the beams and the roof is of an unbelievably good quality that can no longer be compared with today's wood. In recent years, someone seems to have painted the roof blue. Unfortunately, it was impossible for us to get this color off, so we left it. Only the cladding of the side walls was realized with new boards from the regional sawmill. The windows were also reused from the old L-building. The windows were lubricated and oiled. They were also painted blue. It was an impressive experience to see this old wood shining again and in its original state. We now have a beautiful garden shed where garden tools, potting soil and construction tools can be stored.
